Bernard is the organist/pianist and has played at FUMC for more than 25 years. He got his start on the organ at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He would practice the organ at the church during recess as his school was right next door. It was during his younger days that he found FUMC and knocked on the door and asked if he could play their organ, even though he could barely reach the pedals. A couple of years later the church called and asked if he was interested in playing for the 11:00 service as the spot had just opened up. And as they say, the rest is history. Away from church, Bernard works full-time for Home Health and is a realtor.
