JOB OPENING: PART-TIME CHOIR DIRECTOR
First United Methodist Church in Paragould (Arkansas) is seeking a Choir Director who loves God and has the musical and relational skills to support and strengthen the choir to compliment a compelling service of worship in the Methodist tradition. The ideal candidate for the position will bring skill and passion to: weekly music planning alongside clergy and organist/pianist; building community within the choir; directing the choir in introits, anthems, and other special music; and leading congregational music/hymns. Position commitments include approx. 7 hours per week including Wednesday evening rehearsals and Sunday morning worship, approx. 48 weeks per year, and special/seasonal services. Salary negotiable. Paragould First United Methodist Church is a busy and growing church including many young families and children. FUMC is adding nursery staff as we plan to separate toddler and infant rooms. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, satisfactorily complete Safe Gatherings background check and training, and preferably have experience in caring for children ages 0-4 years.
