First United Methodist Church offers many programs and ministries including:
- Children and Youth programs
- First Core/Young Adult programs and activities
- Adult classes and studies
- Young at Heart This is a group for our older members who enjoy a movie on the second Monday of each month, and a game night on the fourth Monday. They also go on the occasional field trip.
- Connect Wednesday is our school-year Wednesday night meal and program
- The Witt House food pantry and mission center
- Music ministries including Chancel Choir, Praise Band, and children's choirs
- $1 a Week Offering program.
- Cookies and Communion: On the first Monday of each month at 10am, a pastor gives a devotion and serves communion to residents at Chateau on the Ridge. Volunteers from the church take part by bringing cookies and visiting with the residents.
- Birthdays at Focus, Inc. : Each month a group of ladies from the church go to Focus, Inc., an organization that works with people with special needs, for a birthday party. They provide and distribute cupcakes and ice cream, and then visit with the people there.
- Threads of Faith: This organization meets every Friday at 10am to create prayer shawls that are given to people in the hospital. Each shawl is prayed over by a pastor.
- Prayer Ministry: Every Wednesday morning at 11am a group prays over each request that has been submitted to the church.
