First United Methodist Church offers many programs and ministries including: 

• Children and Youth programs
• Adult classes and studies
• Connect Wednesday is our school-year Wednesday night meal and program
• The Witt House food pantry and mission center
• Music ministries including Chancel Choir, Praise Band, and children
• $1 a Week Offering program.   
• ​Cookies and Communion:  On the fourth Tuesday of each month a pastor gives a devotion and serves communion to residents at Chateau on the Ridge. Volunteers from the church take part by bringing cookies and visiting with the residents.
• Young at Heart: Young at Heart is a group for our older members who enjoy a game night on the third Monday of every month and a movie on the second Monday. They also go on the occasional field trip. 
• Birthdays at Focus, Inc. : Each month a group of ladies from the church go to Focus, Inc., an organization that works with people with special needs, for a birthday party. They provide and distribute cupcakes and ice cream, and then visit with the people there.
• Threads of Faith: This organization meets every Friday morning to create prayer shawls that are given to people in the hospital. Each shawl is prayed over by a pastor.
• Prayer Ministry: Every Thursday, a group prays over each request that has been submitted to the church.
