Youth and adults alike sometimes pursue opportunities without knowing what to expect or what challenges they might face.  Youth should be encouraged to pray about every decision they make, especially those that involve new challenges.  Remind the youth that adults whom they can trust — parents, pastors, teachers, and so on — can provide valuable guidance.
