How to Join
You can become a member of First United Methodist Church in a couple of ways. First, if you are already a member of another United Methodist congragation, you simply tell us you wish to transfer your membership and we make that happen. Second, if you are a member of another denomination we accept your baptism and your walk of faith til now. We do, however, ask that you pledge your loyalty to the United Methodist Church with this vow: "I promise to be loyal to the United Methodist Church, upholding it with my prayers, my presence, my gifts, my service and my witness." If you have never been a member of any church then we will guide you through our process of baptism. We will baptize in any method: sprinkling, effusion, or immersion.

To enter the sanctuary, there is a ramp at the front of the building that leads to just off the narthex. If you are on the lowest level floor, you can take the wheelchair accessible elevator in the Fellowship Hall at the back of the room and to the right, up to the church sanctuary level, where you will then go right. That will take you to the narthex.
If you or someone you know is interested in a paid nursery worker position, we are currently accepting applications. The pay is $11 per hour with up to 15-18 hours per month available. Please contact Jame Cook at the church for more details. Your First Visit
We are so glad you will be joining us!
We have three services on Sunday: Early service at 8:00 a.m. in the sanctuary, 9:00 Contemporary service in the Fellowship Hall and the 11:00 Traditional service in the sanctuary.
The Early and Traditional services are traditional and feature the hymns of our faith and have a more formal style. These services include acolytes, our children who bring in the candles, Bible and a cross.
The Contemporary service is more relaxed, with a praise band.
Each service lasts about an hour.
Please park in the parking closest to the doors near the Welcome Center for the Contemporary service. As you enter, you will pass through the hallway; the Fellowship Hall is on the left.
If you are attending the Early or Traditional services, people typically park on the street or in the main lot in the back. You can enter through several side doors, the Welcome Center, or the front doors.
Please ask an usher to help you if you need assistance. We can also help those who are hearing impared. Ask an usher to get you a listening device in our Early and Traditional Services.
The nursery is located on the first floor down the hall from the Welcome Center. Younger children are also on the first floor. Older children are on the third floor. Youth are on the fourth floor.
You are welcome to join us if we are taking communion.
Our Sunday School classes are at 10:00 and are located all over the church. A listing is on our "Connect" page (http://www.fumcparagould.org/classes/bible-studies/discipleship). Please see a greeter for help in finding the class that's best for you.
There are greeters and ushers located all over the church to help you find your way. Welcome!
