Children's Ministry NEWS
Our children's ministry starts from pre-school
and continues to children in the 6th grade.
Confirmation Class
A confirmation class is available for students who are in the 6th grade. The class is designed to teach the principals, discipline and theology of the United Methodist Church. At the end of the class, students are confirmed into the church. This culminates around Easter every year, where the students are recognized in a special part of the worship services.

Kindergarten - First Floor - Between Nursery and Ladies Restroom
Grades 1st to 5th - Sunday School - Third Floor
6th Grade Confirmation - Fourth Floor
Activities for Kids
We have lots of events for our children at FUMC! We have yearly activities, like our Easter Egg Hunt and Trunk or Treat, and we have regular activities, like Kid's Choir, which meets every Wednesday night at 6:00. Children go on outings during the summer months, and are a part of church-wide events, like the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. We also encourage our kids to help out at Witt House, the church's food pantry.
Easter Egg Hunt
Join us for our annual hunt the Saturday before Easter at 10:00 at the church.
Trunk or Treat
FUMC was host to hundreds of people on October 31st as we set up more than 50 cars for kids and their families to come by and get candy. Guests were also treated to a Cake Walk and snacks.
Breakfast with Santa
Kids Choir
Kids grades 1-6 have kid's choir every Wednesday night from 6:00-7:00, following Family Dinner. Children are taught to sing old favorites as well as new pieces. Children also learn to ring handbells in the fall. Kids sing and play handbells in both the Contemporary and Traditional services every few weeks.
This spring the children are learning a play about the underdogs of the Bible and will have a presentation on Thursday, April 19th.
